Outlook Express
For Outlook Express click on the Menu bar Extras and select Account. With a left click of the mouse select an existing account and then properties.
Select the Server tab and check the option My server requires authentication. In the next window, select Use Same Settings as Server.
Click OK to save the changes.
Outlook XP
Click on the menu bar Extras, then Accounts.
Choose View or Change Existing E-mail Accounts.
Select an existing account using the left button on your mouse, select Change, then Continue.
On the E-mail Accounts screen, click the More Settings.
Select Outgoing Server tab. Click the My Outgoing Server (SMTP) Requires Authentication box.
Click OK to save settings.
Outlook 2000
Click on the menu bar Extras, then Accounts. Select View or Change Existing E-Mail Accounts. Select an existing account using the left button on your mouse, select Change, then Continue.
Select the Server tab. Click the My Outgoing Server (SMTP) Requires Authentication box, select Settings.
Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Click OK to save the changes.
Outlook 98
Click Start "Settings Control Panel Mail.
Select an existing account using the left button on your mouse, then select Properties to configure the account.
Select on the above tab Servers and select My server requires authentication, then select properties.
Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Click OK to save the changes.
Outlook 2007
Please click on the menu icon Tools and then E-mail accounts. Select View or change existing account and then with a left click of the mouse select an existing account, now click Change.
Click the box next to More settings and then into the tab Outgoing Server. Place a tick in the box My outgoing server requires authentication. Also place a tick in the box Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Click OK to save the changes.
You now have the opportunity to send a test message by clicking on Test Account Settings... to verify that all settings are correct.
General description regarding additional e-mail programs.
Please ensure that the e-mail program supports SMTP and can register with an e-mail server.
Mozilla
On the toolbar, select Edit then Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings....
Select Outgoing Server and click continue.
Enter mail.YOURDOMAIN.com in the section outgoing server, then select edit.
Select User name and password.
Netscape 7
Click on the option edit e-mail and forum account settings and change to the category Outgoing-Server (SMTP).
Now please activate the option use name and password and enter your valid e-mail address in the user name field.
Thunderbird
Please click in the options field on Extras Accounts and then open the category Outgoing-Server (SMTP).
Now please activate the option use user name and password and enter in the field user name your valid e-mail address.
Outlook Express (MacOS)
In the menu list select the option Extras Accounts. With a left click of the mouse select an existing account and then click on Settings.
Now the account window appears with an overview of the current mail accounts. A double click on the desired account leads you to the dialog field edit account.
Please select the tab Account settings and click Show sending options.
Please tick the option The SMTP server requires Authentication and activate the option Register with. Enter your user name and password and confirm by clicking enter.
For the Account name enter the valid E-Mail address and enter your personal password.
